Ernestia Fraser

Ernestia Fraser is an author, screenwriter, poet, and educator, who was born and raised in Nassau, Bahamas. She has a double B.A. in English and Communication and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing: Screenwriting. Fraser has earned a number awards and honors in both poetry and screenwriting, including best screenplay in the 2011 Black Hollywood Film Festival and the 2014 Daily News Prize for poetry. Some of her published works include Carnival of Love: A Tale of a Bahamian Family (literary memoir), Shallow Water: a short history of where I’m from (poetry collection), and I Am Loved (children’s book).
