We believe you have what it takes to write an amazing story. If you think this is something you would like to do and you meet our requirements, then we have a place awaiting you. Students should contact the Head of their Language Department to indicate their interest in participating. Homeschooled students may have their teacher, parent or guardian guide them through the process. Participants under the age of 18 require written permission from their parent or guardian to participate.

So what is it you will have to do?

  • Simply write an original short story of your choosing or select one of the topics provided in your grade category.
  • Stories must be presented in digital format; that's typed and saved as a Word doc file and emailed to us for review.
  • Writing must be in standard English, and free of typos and grammatical errors.
  • Indicate the name of your school, or if homeschooled, and the island you are located on.
  • Once accepted, students must provide a photograph of themselves for placement on the site along with their work.

Write a short story - comedy, adventure, or drama, you decide. Stories can include some dialogue and be written in either the first or third person. While you can glean from some of your experiences, your writing should never identify people you know by name, or intentionally present them in a negative light
